About Me

ABOUT ME;

About Me

Welcome to Scientify News, your go-to source for cutting-edge insights on neuroscience, human health, technology, and psychology. My name is Bramwel Mwombe, and I am a Clinical Psychologist, Neurologist Scientist, and Research Analyst deeply passionate about exploring the intersections of neuropsychology and technology. This blog is a space where I share my research findings, personal insights, and ideas that drive the future of human health, particularly in the realms of mental health, neurodiagnostics, and innovative solutions for brain health.

A Little More About Me

I am a professional with a diverse academic and practical background. I hold advanced degrees and certifications in clinical psychology and neuroscience, and my career has been shaped by a commitment to improving both physical and mental health. Over the years, I have worked in various fields, including neuroscience research, psychological assessment, and clinical practice, allowing me to bring a well-rounded perspective to my work.

In my journey, I’ve been privileged to engage in groundbreaking research focused on neurodiagnostic tools and psychological health interventions. I’ve collaborated with organizations such as KIPPRA (Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis) on topics such as the impact of social media on insomnia, workforce health, and mental wellness in the Kenyan context.

Research Interests:

Neurodiagnostics: My current research focuses on real-time neurodiagnostic assessment scan waves, exploring how we can harness technology to provide faster, more accurate diagnoses for neurological conditions.
Psychology and Technology: I am also passionate about studying the psychological effects of digital media, particularly its impact on sleep patterns and mental health. My ongoing research aims to provide insights into how technology can both benefit and harm mental well-being, especially in younger populations.

Key Contributions and Projects

Here are some key highlights of the projects I’ve worked on over the years:

Neuropsychology and Sleep Disorders Research:
As a part of my work at Kenyatta University, I’ve been involved in research that examines the relationship between excessive social media use and insomnia among third-year students. This work seeks to uncover how digital interactions affect mental well-being and disrupt sleep cycles. Our findings aim to promote healthier digital habits among students, improving their overall health and academic performance.
Innovations in Neurodiagnostics:
I’ve been privileged to participate in innovations at Kenyatta University, focusing on the development of technologies for real-time neurodiagnostic scanning. This breakthrough research seeks to revolutionize the way we understand and diagnose neurological conditions, such as epilepsy and Alzheimer's disease. By combining cutting-edge technologies with neuropsychological theory, we hope to create more effective diagnostic tools that can lead to faster treatments and better patient outcomes.
Job Market Research and Workforce Development in Kenya:
As a research analyst at KIPPRA, I contributed to a significant study on the job market in Kenya, exploring the demand for skilled workers and the gaps in the education system. This research has informed policymakers and industry leaders on how to shape a better workforce and address the challenges posed by unemployment.
Health nd Wellness at the Intersection of Technology:
One of my more recent research endeavors has been focused on how technological innovations can improve health care delivery, particularly in neuropsychology and mental health assessments. I’m particularly interested in how wearable technologies and AI-powered tools can detect mental health issues earlier, providing timely interventions before conditions worsen.
